This fitted alcove bookcase has been made with oak faced plywood and painted cupboard doors for a client in London.

It was designed to fit into the wall recess next to the chimney breast that is so common in terrace houses all over the UK.

Using the full height of the room the alcove bookcase provides generous storage space. It is fitted using recessed strips painted the same colour as the walls of the room, creating a subtle shadow gap.
