DETAILS

Working to a design by Gillespie Yunnie Architects Tandem Studio built and installed this modern oak staircase with hidden lighting. The project is part of a major redesign and modernisation of an apartment within a manor house in Sidmouth. The staircase was constructed from solid oak tri-ply and finished in a durable hard wax oil.

The staircase has a recessed handrail detail and recessed lighting in the first floor guarding. The complex yet minimal design of the staircase meant that a very high level of project planning, detailing and craftsmanship had to be achieved.
