Tandem Studio

Tandem Studio were asked by the clients to design four elements of furniture for their new apartment within a new socially and ecologically minded development that was still in the process of being completed. www.vallentin-architektur.de/projekt/stadtnatur . They were able to keep the exposed concrete walls in the master bedroom on one side and the full length of the party wall on the other.

For the master bedroom they wanted a playful wardrobe wall instead of a run of identical doors. To achieve this we designed an open shelf element in oak, surrounded by painted MDF doors in a dark blue/grey -Farrow and Ball Downpipe which works really well adjacent to the concrete wall and oak. The drawer fronts are part of the composition rather than hidden behind the doors. A simple recessed handle detail was used to create a flat uncluttered surface.

We can fully recommend Tandem Studio (Jonathan and Simone). In a joint and exciting planning process, we developed a wardrobe, sideboard, lobby furniture, vanity unit for the washbasin and a tricky bathroom cabinet for the washing machine and dryer with Tandem Studio for our new apartment. Your own wishes and ideas are recorded and supplemented with great ideas from Jonathan. In the end you get a custom-made piece of furniture that leaves nothing to be desired. The quality of the materials and the craftsmanship clearly exceeds what you get from other providers and at absolutely reasonable prices.

We received detailed plans for each piece of furniture, where we were able to clarify any questions with Jonathan. The dialogue is fun and the anticipation of installing the furniture increases from day to day. As a result, you can see the enthusiasm and joy of Tandem Studio in their work in every piece of furniture. In addition, the costs are shown transparently. Unfortunately, there is no other corner in our apartment that we can design together with the Tandem Studio.

In addition to the wardrobe we made two wall mounted bedside tables in oak faced birch plywood.
